Wow, it has been ages since I've blogged.
I have been rushing through life, forgetting to smell the roses and too concerned about tomorrow to enjoy today.
my life is like a speeding, out of control train at times.
It is time to gear down, calm down and realize that life happens. It is a non-descriminating happening.
I am Grateful and Thankful...
to be alive and well, by all standards
I am Blessed beyond measure
I give myself permission to stay in the day and not worry about tomorrow - just for today
that I had a wonderful awakening to the birds, chattering their lovely talk this morning
It is a fine weather day in Houston ! Just right !
My Sponsor is traveling to San Diego for a week of fun and communion with friends there
I wish him a wonderful vacation
I work today
Precious is still my fantastic side-kick and we are just happy to have each other
And, I am happy to have YOU

life safari 10-22-08
Well, I am setting out to go vote early after my shower.
Something made me decide that this election has someone that I can vote in favor for - a change from before.
It's an absolutely beautiful Fall day here and more cooler weather is predicted - a bit of rain too.
M/S meeting went on until after 9:00 pm last night. It was supposed to end at 8:00 pm.
I handled the above situation better than I have in the past, which is a good thing if one wants to stay employed.
I am learning to take life easier. When I get all bent out of shape, it seems to only hurt me - no one else gives a hoot. Most people are out in the ozone, thinking about numero uno which, of course, so am I. So, I'm no different than every one else and, therefor, I should not be so hard on every one else. We really ARE in this together...

finally feel like voting for a "cause"
to be alive and well
to live in a country where I don't risk being killed for my Christian beliefs
that Precious is a part of my life
I have a beautiful double yellow hybiscus bloom on a plant that has not produced in over a year
for this great Houston weather
to be back on a shift where I have my mornings free
I enjoy reading my friend's Blogs

life safari #31
Well, I finally got finished scanning some slides and posting them. My favorite topic and subject for years - my 2 African Safari's (photo, of course).
I am Grateful for/that...
my scanner. I haven't used it in some time, just like riding a bike
these cool photo/album programs of today (Flickr and Picasa)
that another day at work is over
tomorrow is "HUMP DAY" and one day closer to Kat and Frank's outstanding adventure
an interesting storm this afternoon
Payday at the end of this week
Steel Claw is out of town
I'm sober and clean
Precious is still here with me
the things I've been fortunate to do and see in my life
Bob was in a playful, cheery mood today
my paintings from Scott - I enjoy looking at them
that I can sleep in later today
that DSL is out there and I'm going to get it
I'm almost ready to go lay ddown - I'm tired all of a sudden
that I have a bed to lay in and a roof over my head
